This is where the amount of Inmates, Guards can be changed and whether the prison should be an Inside one, going outside without a guard outfit will cause the player to have 99% heat, or outside one, or an inside-outside one, which allows the player to go outside as long as it's 10:00-22:00. It will feature a menu in which the prison's name and what tileset can be selected.Īfter a name is entered and a tileset is selected, the Properties menu will appear. A new prison can be made by going over to Project and pressing New from a dropdown menu. Maybe guards have some sort of restricted vision where posters look like regular walls and utility corridors aren't visible unless the guard walks into one.Once the prison editor is opened, there will be nothing. The guards vs prisoners idea would also have to take into account that player guards wouldn't be stupid enough to ignore posters and secret utility corridors. They'd have to make an entire gamemode for guards in order to get a good multiplayer, but it has potential. If guards attack an "innocent" prisoner, they get a penalty, and if they don't deal with a prisoner situation, they can also get a penalty. Competitive wouldn't work out, but if it was just the base game where some players are prisoners, others guards, and it was focused on the game itself and roleplay, that would work out. Multiplayer would only truly work with either a good group of friends or really good players, because I can foresee any public servers with prisoners/guards, or just prisoners at all, being a deathmatch. The game would not work out, at all, competitively. Do you think competitive multiplayer could work (some players are prisoners, others are guards)? Personally I've escaped the first two prisons (tutorial doesn't count).Ĩbitmushroom wrote:Game is pretty good. The only way out is by boat, and the guards are equiped with insta-KO stun-sticks. HMP-Irongate: The highest security prison in the game located on an island. San Pancho: A high security prison set in Mexico equipped with a deadly minefield and four-person cells.

Jungle Compound: Normal security, mostly outdoors prison where escaping is "half the challenge (escaping the prison grounds isn't enough to win)." Shankton State Pen: Normal security prison equipped with a few cameras and metal detectors. Stalag Flucht: Easy prison based off the old WW2 German prison of the same name. These are the prisons:Ĭenter Perks: Easiest prison in the game (besides the tutorial). A prison-creator.thing will be added in the future too. There are 6 prisons total so far (plus a tutorial level), and more will be added. Here's an example of someone playing The Escapists (MatthasGames to be precise): You have to wait WAY to much for the right item to spawn, or the right event to occur, etc. Gaining and keeping stats is tedious and boring. Many YouTubers, such as jacksepticeye, paulsoursjr, and MatthasGames have all played this game and found it enjoyable, but a few of them pointed out two major flaws: The Escapists is a simple prison-escape game that is currently in early-access (or beta/alpha something I dunno) on steam for around 15 dollars.
